At J.N.N Institute of Engineering, the relationship between the alumni and the alma mater is integral and continuous. The association had been operating without registration till 2019. Now, the J.N.N Institute of Engineering Alumni Association is a registered with the Registrar of Societies, Chennai. The alumni association has an active calendar and connects with Alumni regularly.

The J.N.N.I.E Alumni Association acts as the bridge between past and present, endeavouring to build a better future.

Aims & Objectives of the Alumni Association

1. To maintain and update contacts of Alumni.

2. To conduct meetings regularly at least once a year.

3. To communicate the college events periodically to the Alumni.

4. To invite Alumni to visit the campus and take their suggestions for the future improvement of the Institution.

5. To request the Alumni to extend their contributions towards the institute’s development.

6. To take up the help of Alumni guidance towards higher education.

7. To conduct seminars, workshops with the support of Alumni.

8. To help the poor and bright students with the help of Alumni.

9. To help the unsettled Alumni with the help of Alumni.

10. To promote the professional knowledge of its members by publicising newsletters, journals and conducting scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars.

11. To do such other things as may be necessary to attain all or any of the above objectives of the Society.

The Alumni Association looks to forge a mutually beneficial relationship between the institute and its alumni network. The team intends to increase alumni engagement in various academic, placements, cultural and social activities at the institute and beyond to ensure interaction between them and the students.

Contributions involving Finances

The alumni of our Institution has contributed modestly to their alma mater in the following manner,

1. Giving incentive cash prizes during Alumni Association functions to motivate and encourage performing students.

2. Donation of books to the college library for the benefit of students.

3. Installing dust bins to help keep the campus clean.

Non-financial Contributions

The college utilises the intellectual inputs of its alumni working in the academic or professional fields to enrich the curriculum and enhance the quality of interaction between alumni and the Institution. Following are some of the non-financial initiatives by the Alumni Association.

1. Act as liaison for Industry – Institution collaboration initiatives.

2. Share their knowledge and experience to develop the students’ skills.

3. Guide the students in interview skills, group discussions and other employability skills.

4. Give insights into the corporate work culture.

5. Explore and identify Placement and Internship opportunities for students.

Many alumni have recommended the Institution to their siblings and friends for admissions. At J.N.N.I.E, alumni are part of the IQAC. They act as facilitators for quality improvement and enhancement. The Alumni Association thereby provides a platform of not just merely giving back to the Institution but actively contribute to its growth. The Management of J.N.N.I.E wishes to maintain a life-long relationship with all its Alumni for the overall development of the Institution.
