The J.N.N – 3D Printing Centre of Excellence, will be a training facility partnering with local research institutes and industry to facilitate growth and education around 3D printing in Chennai. 

The centre will be charged with training professionals, as well as validating 3D printing technologies and materials, as well as research 3D printing overall. Partnerships with such institutes as the Indian Centre for 3D Printing and the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre, the J.N.N – 3D Printing Center of Excellence will offer training curriculum, validation programs, advisory services, and research.

What is 3D Printing?

3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the entire object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object.
